Frame
One still picture of a video, counted from 0, with fps and durationInFrames setting the rate and the length.
A video is a list of frames. Frames are whole numbers that start at 0. A composition with durationInFrames of 60 has frames 0 to 59.
fps is how many frames play each second. At 30 fps, 60 frames last two seconds.
Inside a component, useCurrentFrame() gives the frame being drawn. useVideoConfig() gives fps, durationInFrames, width and height.
const frame = useCurrentFrame();
const { fps } = useVideoConfig();
const seconds = frame / fps;The picture must depend only on that number. See Determinism.
Ranges on the command line use frames too. 10..40 is frames 10 to 39, and 10..=40 includes 40.
Coming from Remotion: the same hooks and names. Coming from HyperFrames: time is in seconds, at 30 fps. A GSAP timeline is seeked to the frame's time.
